Jon and Kate Gosselin announced their separation in the June 22 episode on the TLC reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, as was sadly predicted by many news outlets and commentators.

The news of the separation was intermingled with the installation of new playhouses for the kids. Crooked Houses installed adorable custom made houses for each child, each individually decorated. In future years the kids will realize that the show where they got their playhouses was the same day that their parents announced their family and their world was changing forever.
